Isolation and analysis of senescent cells in blood
Our laboratory is developing a state-of-the-art microfluidic platform for isolating and characterizing senescent cells from minimal blood volumes. This integrated system employs multi-parametric analysis to efficiently capture and profile senescent cells, offering unprecedented insights into senescence mechanisms and their implications in aging and pathologies. We anticipate that this platform's high-throughput capabilities will facilitate senolytic drug screening, potentially accelerating the development of targeted interventions for age-related disorders.
Novel Senolytic Compounds-Procyanidins
Our groundbreaking senolytic compounds, Procyanidin C1 and Procyanidin B2, along with a series of other Procyanidin compounds, offer powerful solutions for targeting and eliminating senescent cells. These compounds demonstrate exceptional efficacy in clearing senescent cells, reducing inflammation, and promoting healthier, longer lives.
Procyanidin C1, a polyphenol found in grape seeds, extends the healthspan and survival of old mice by 9% and shows high efficacy across various senescent cell types with low toxicity to healthy cells.
At Lonvilab, we have achieved the first low-cost and efficient synthesis of these procyanidin molecules, including Procyanidin B2 and C1 , making these potent senolytic compounds more accessible for research and therapeutic use.
Dual-target Senolytic
Our therapies include Covalent Dasatinib-Linker-Quercetin for stable, targeted delivery and Nano Dasatinib-Quercetin Co-Delivery for enhanced absorption. Both formulations efficiently clear senescent cells, improving therapeutic outcomes against cellular senescence and age-related diseases.
Senolytic Skincare
Senolytic skincare is emerging as a comprehensive solution for future anti-aging dermatology. Our research demonstrates Procyanidin C1's superior efficacy in eliminating senescent dermal fibroblasts,compared to other common anti-aging ingredients such as Ergothioneine, Retinol, Resveratrol and Astaxanthin. Furthermore, oral administration of Procyanidin C1 can effectively clear senescent cells in aged mouse dermis. We are currently evaluating the efficacy of Procyanidin C1 products on human skin, aiming to provide novel ingredient options for senolytic skincare.

Dual-therapy of Senolytic and NAD+ supplementation
Scientists have speculated that combining Senolytic therapy and NAD+ supplementation, due to their distinct anti-aging mechanisms, could yield superior anti-aging benefits and synergistic effects. The former selectively eliminates senescent cells, reducing overall aging burden, while the latter elevates NAD+ levels in healthy cells, maintaining normal energy metabolism. Our recent animal studies have preliminarily corroborated this hypothesis, providing solid evidence for the Senolytic+NAD approach (the detailed data will be published online soon). Subsequently, we will collaborate with multiple institutions and hospitals to further validate the efficacy of this dual-therapy in human bodies.
